Judge sets trial date in Loudoun school-tardiness case

Amy and Mark Denicore are headed to a full-blown trial to defend themselves against charges that they violated Virginia law by making their kids late to elementary school too often.

The Loudoun County couple was arraigned Monday morning in juvenile and domestic relations court. Judge Pamela L. Brooks set a trial date of March 14.

American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez said hopeful Lauren Gray had "one of the best female voices" the panel had heard during auditions for season 11.

The 22-year-old waitress and musician's audition performance of 'One and Only' by Adele was shown on Thursday night's (February 2) episode of American Idol, which showed highlights from the judges' visit to St Louis.

Lopez - who was seen dabbing at a tear following the performance - said: "You are one of the best female voices we have heard and I say absolutely, 100% yes."

Flyer Also Urges Businesses to Treat People Who 'Always Pay Cash' as Suspicious

A new flyer released by the Department of Justice and the FBI, emblazoned with the logos of each agency and being circulated to Internet cafes and other businesses, warns of "potential indicators of terrorist activities."

In particular, the flyer cautions businesses to be on the lookout for "content of extreme/radical nature" as well as people who visit an Internet cafe even though there is evidence they have Internet access at home. It also urges people to watch for anyone using "anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address," or who seems "overly concerned about privacy."

Obama Issues Global Warming Rules - Then Exempts GE-Powered Plant

Timothy Carney with The Washington Examiner reported yesterday that the Obama Administration issued draconian rules for regulating greenhouse gases from any new or expanded power plants in January.

This week, the EPA issued its first exemption to these rules.
